DESCRIPTION
Pea ‘Norli’ is an early, reliable sugar pea variety grown for its tender, fully edible pods. The green pods are medium-sized, about 6–7 cm long, thin-walled and stringless, making them excellent for fresh eating, steaming and light cooking. Plants flower white and produce pods quickly, ensuring an early and continuous harvest.
Sow directly outdoors in cool conditions, as ‘Norli’ germinates best at temperatures of 5–8 °C. Choose a sunny to partially shaded location with fertile, well-drained soil. Keep soil consistently moist, especially during flowering and pod formation, as the plants do not tolerate drought. While this is a dwarf variety and does not require support, a small trellis can improve airflow and make harvesting easier. Pick pods young and regularly to encourage ongoing production.
