Vigneronne runner bean is a traditional, highly productive climbing bean variety with striking marble grey-violet pods. Reaching around 20–25 cm in length, it is an excellent choice for open-ground growing, fresh harvests, and drying.

Vigneronne is a traditional climbing bean for open-ground growing, producing a medium to late harvest. What makes this variety especially attractive is its decorative appearance: green pods are marked with reddish-purple speckles, the plants have strong foliage growth, and the variety is highly productive. The pods reach around 20–25 cm in length, and this variety is also well suited for drying. It is also recognised as a rare old variety under the ProSpecieRara label.

GROWING

Grow in a sunny position in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. Runner beans need a strong support structure to climb on. As they are frost-sensitive, sow outdoors or plant out only after the risk of frost has passed. Regular watering will help ensure a good harvest.
