DESCRIPTION

Senator is a robust and productive climbing wrinkled pea variety producing large, firm peas with a pleasant, slightly sweet flavour. As a later-maturing variety, it is an excellent complement to very early peas such as First Early May, helping to extend the fresh pea harvest well into the season.

The plants grow vigorously and require support, such as wire netting or trellises. Thanks to its strong growth and good natural resistance, Senator experiences few problems with common pea diseases and pests, making it especially suitable for home gardens.

GROWING CONDITIONS AND CARE

Provide sturdy support using wire netting or similar structures
Sow seeds in rows on both sides of the support
Sowing depth 3–4 cm to protect seeds from birds and mice
Choose a sunny growing location
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil
