Organic pea ‘Utrillo’ is a medium-early heirloom variety producing dark green pods about 13 cm long. Each pod contains around 10 wrinkled, flavourful peas. Plants grow up to 70 cm tall and provide a stable, generous harvest suitable for fresh use, light cooking or freezing.
This variety grows best in medium to heavier soils that are well aerated and allow excess water to drain. Sow directly outdoors in early spring. Keep soil evenly moist and provide light support if needed. ‘Utrillo’ performs especially well in cooler climates and short growing seasons typical of many European regions.
