DESCRIPTION
Golden Ball is a traditional heirloom turnip known for smooth, round amber-gold roots with sweet, mellow flavour and tender texture. It’s excellent sliced raw, cooked, mashed, or roasted—and the greens can be used as a nutritious leaf vegetable.
For best results, keep soil evenly moist and thin seedlings early so each root has room to form properly. Direct sow into fine tilth, thin promptly, and water in dry spells to prevent roots turning woody.
